WiFi N Performance Problem? Now solved!

I had great trouble getting the wireless network to function as I wanted in the beginning. As soon as I turned on the encryption on my DIR-685 (tried all different) all of my "802.11n" devices refuse to start connect to N speed, the N devices switched only up to G speed 54Mps.

Smallnetbuilder.com writes the following: "Figure 19 shows that the 685 properly (as per draft 802.11n standard requirements) limits performance to 11g speeds with WEP and WPA/TKIP enabled. And selecting WPA2/AES security has no significant effect on throughput."

After me testing changes to the choice between TKIP (Temporal Key Integrity Protocol) and AES (Advanced Encryption Standard) changes from default "TKIP" to "AES" solved the problem I had, after that my N devices linked up right and the encryption is turned on. Happy Face :D
